Our efficient processes and experienced team allow us to expedite rush jobs to significantly reduce the regular lead time; in some cases, we can produce parts as quickly as one week.  Urgent projects are fast-tracked through our processes and receive the same level of attention and quality as regular orders.  Let us know what you need, and within 24 hours, we’ll respond with our best expedited timeline.

We integrate TOC into our approach to help identify bottlenecks and optimize workflow efficiency. This ensures we provide the best value and outcomes for our clients.

Design for manufacturing and prototypes

Let us refine your precision fabrication product designs for optimum manufacturability—minimize waste, improve quality, and reduce your costs. Our team of experienced engineers helps our clients optimize product designs, improve efficiency, and save costs.

Designing in sheet metal is a specialty our engineers have honed. To help our customers, we regularly offer half-day classes, free of charge, to share with our clients what makes a good manufacturing drawing and best practices for designing high-performing parts with sheet metal. These sessions generally run from 10am to 2:30pm to accommodate those joining us from out-of-town to make the trip on the same day. Contact us for more information.

We produce prototypes in-house quickly and efficiently to reduce your product development risks and get your product to market quickly.

Part of our process is evaluating the feasibility of every new project and offering cost-saving suggestions on design, manufacturability, and efficiency. Wesgar is not a design house and does not design parts from scratch; however, we love to get involved on a technical level with your concepts and collaborate to develop and execute the best solutions.

Fabrication, fine finishing, and assembly

Quality

Quality control is integral to our process. Our quality management system is  ISO 9001:2015 certified (updated May 2021). Throughout the fabrication of orders, we engage in the following quality checks: First-off checks, First Article Inspection (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Quality Plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Additionally, we encourage all staff members to identify issues and or opportunities for improvement in our production processes and make improvement suggestions. We’ve built an infrastructure that facilitates and rewards continuous improvement and problem-solving. We welcome visitors to our manufacturing plant to experience first-hand how we process and inspect your parts and to learn and get a better understanding of your quality requirements.

With the delivery of your order, we provide manufacturing certificates of compliance certifying your parts meet the required specifications.

Supply chain management

Our lead times vary based on project complexity, as well as if it’s a first-time, repeat, or revision to an order, and other factors. With 55+ years of experience and a seasoned team, we consistently outperform competitors in turnaround times. Some rush jobs can be processed in as little as a week, while standard projects usually take three to four weeks. More detailed and intricate projects will require additional time. We also offer a customized inventory program and work with blanket orders, which together can yield extremely quick turnaround times, shipping stocked parts within one to three days

There are none!  With the free trade agreement in place between the US and Canada, there are no additional costs to an OEM or customer when procuring custom fabrication in Canada.  Wesgar will quote in USD, and the price on the quote is the price that you will pay.
