Mechanical Assembler – Graveyard Shift

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available, and we are currently seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidate will perform electro-mechanical assembly and other related assembly tasks as assigned
  • Follow moderately detailed assembly procedures and instructions while performing assigned tasks in compliance with quality workmanship and company standards
  • Use tools or operate power driven equipment to drill, rivet, insert parts or components, cut and shape components, crimp, connect wires, wire wrap, perform wiring and prepare wires. Wires may include shielded wires, and solder sleeve assemblies, and tasks may include strip, tin, twist and wire identification by tagging
  • Operate Go / No go test equipment
  • Install or assemble plates, gaskets, grommets, heatsinks, components, sub-assemblies, etc. using fasteners and/or adhesives
  • Perform basic part making, lacing, and making cable assemblies or wire harnesses
  • Operate caulking guns, etc.
  • Mix adhesives, chemical solutions, potting and coating compounds in required precise proportions; clean and maintain containers, applicators and spray equipment in good working order
  • Building sub-assemblies
  • Integration of system components
  • Final assembly and inspection of products
  • Report problems and rejections of first-off product to higher level operators or supervisors for correction
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow instructions both written and verbal

Experience:
  • Mechanical assembly: 2 years (preferred)
Pay:

CA$22–CA$25 per hour (based on experience)

Metal Grinder

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking a junior dresser/grinder sheet metal.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dressing metal parts and remove surface imperfections
  • Using pneumatic air tools for extended periods of time in a standing position to prepare various metal part for cosmetic paint finishes by body working
  • Grinding and sanding to the desired finish class required by each customer
  • Setting up and operating dressing equipment and tools correctly, identify issues and fix or report them
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Operating equipment safety according to their intended use
  • Handling incoming and outgoing parts safety and with care to avoid damage or injury
  • Following all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have the following:
  • High School Diploma
  • Over a year's' experience in metal fabrication/cosmetic grinding
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Body work experience with cosmetic grinding is an asset
  • Must be able to work with power tools, angle grinders, sander drills.
  • Good eye hand coordination
  • Able to stand for extended period
Pay:

CA$20.00–CA$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

Shift:

Day (6AM - 2PM), Afternoon (2PM - 10PM)

Quality Inspector

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available, and we are currently seeking a Quality Inspector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform first article inspection and final inspections – Some in-process inspections as required
  • Measure the dimensions and features of manufactured sheet metal parts to ensure conformance to customer drawings
  • Use of measuring equipment
  • Identify quality issues and have them corrected by the appropriate work center
  • Complete quality reports, data entry and other work centre documentation
Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing production experience in the precision sheet metal fabrication industry is an advantage
  • Should be eligible to work in Canada
Skills:
  • Able to correctly and accurately: measure parts using dial and digital calipers, measure angles using manual and digital protractors, use height gauges, tape measures and squares
  • Very good written communication – send reports & information to internal customers
  • Very good verbal communication – able to communicate effectively with internal customers
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with measuring equipment is required
  • Blueprint reading is required
  • Good understanding of Windows-based computer systems
  • Able to work without supervision and also as part of our inspection team
  • Good time management, reliable and proactive
  • Must be able to work either day & afternoon shift based on company’s needs
Pay:

CA$20–CA$24 per hour (based on experience)

TIG and MIG Welder

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking experienced Welders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision weld metal parts using MIG or TIG welding machines and techniques
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment set up and operate Welding Machines correctly, identify machine issues and either fix or report them
  • Operate equipment safely according to their intended use
  • Handle incoming and outgoing parts safely and with care to avoid damage or injury
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment
  • May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Punctual and reliable
  • High school Diploma
  • One year’s experience in metal fabrication industry
  • Need to have the particular PPE (mandatory)
Skills:
  • Good eye hand coordination
  • Able to stand for extended period
  • Able to solve problems and make good decisions
Pay:

CA$26–CA$30 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

Afternoon (2 pm to 10 pm) for training.
